Steeped in history and exuding character, our handsome Grade II-listed, 18th-century clubhouse is a majestic setting in which to hold your celebrations.
Peri from PoppyBlueDecor has been a venue stylist for weddings and party events for over 20 years, with 10 of those years spent as the preferred supplier for the The Bristol. During all that time, Peri has worked closely with Gemma – our Wedding Coordinator – which has given us a good working relationship that helps her to understand our Brides wishes for their very special day.
Having come to know the venue very well, with its stunning far-reaching views across the stylish patio over the mighty Severn Estuary to Wales, its small woodlands, and beautiful greens, PoppyBlueDecor understand what works in this space, when creating the ‘look and feel’ for our Brides.
Many of the props and décor objet are upcycled, so if you want a beautiful re-purposed piece of furniture as your cake table, blue candelabras, quirky props, lovers rocking bench, personalised signs or a very classic look for your venue styling, we can create it all for you.
Our vibe tends to lean towards Vintage, Rustic, Classic and BoHo, so if that’s the sort of theme you’re looking for when getting married at The Bristol, PoppyBlueDecor are are here to help.

The club’s three function suites are all fully licensed to hold civil marriage ceremonies and are each unique in their character and style, varying in capacity from 10 to 120 guests.
Lending itself equally well to wedding parties large and small, The Bristol blends period features and fantastic views.
While the first floor suites offer wonderful views over the rolling Gloucestershire countryside, our ground floor rooms are complemented by private terrace areas and room configurations that can be tailored to suit your party plan.
